F. General conduct must reflect the high standards expected of Nenana students.
G. A student must meet the attendance requirements set forth in the board policy to be eligible for extra curricular activities.

is determined one week prior to the activity.

• Posted Final Thursday at 2:30 P.M.
• Student would then be eligible to participate the following week .
II. Beyond these requirements the school
district expects students to maintain a high level of academic achievement between
quarters. To assure this level is maintained , the athletic director will conduct
weekly eligibility checks on students in all interscholastic activities.
A. A student declared ineligible (Below a 2.00 G.P.A. or one or more F's.) will remain ineligible for a one week period of time. At which time grades will be checked again.
III. Students may also lose the privilege of participation in extracurricular activities because of chronic misconduct in school, willful disobedience or violation of training rules. Should such a situation occur, parents will receive written notification of any action taken along with necessary steps to place the student back in good standing.
IV. School Attendance: A student may not participate in interscholastic athletics, or leave for an athletic trip, if he/she has been suspended from school for any disciplinary reason, including unexcused absences. School sponsored activities are not to be an absence. Students must be present the entire day of the activity and the entire day following the activity. A student must also be present the entire day before a school sponsored trip. A student attending the activity is the same as participating in the activity for the purpose of this policy. An infraction causes the student to be ineligible for the next event. If a student is excluded from school that student will not be allowed to attend any activities during their time of exclusion from school. (BP 5113)
V. School Assignments: Students are responsible for making up all work either before or after a trip. Students will be given one (1) day for each day missed to make up missed work. As an example, a student traveling on a school sponsored trip misses four days of school. They will have four days to make up the work on returning to school.
VI. A student may only participate in
interscholastic activities during the first eight (8) semesters of school after
enrollment in the ninth grade.
